JASH USA purchases Rodney Hunt Company

We are excited to announce that as of September 21, 2016, JASH has purchased the Rodney Hunt Business unit. 

In 1897 a newspaper erroneously reported the Death of Mark Twain to which he quipped “The reports of my death have been exaggerated.”
 
At the time of this quote, over a century ago, the Rodney Hunt Co. was manufacturing gates in Orange, Massachusetts.
 
Fast forward 120 years to March 2016 and we began to hear rumors that Rodney Hunt has gone out of business. Just as history tends to repeat itself, this story too, has been exaggerated.  
Rodney Hunt Co. is still operating strong and maintaining it's presense as a fixture in Orange, MA for 175 years.  The company has been acquired, and we are excited to announce that as of September 21, 2016, Jash USA has purchased the Rodney Hunt Business unit. 

As part of the transaction, Jash acquires the complete ownership of the Rodney Hunt brand name, certain machinery, casting patterns, and intellectual property associated with Rodney Hunt – including drawings, website, registration and spare parts business.  Also included in the transaction are the SCUBA, BASCULE, and PELICAN products and the hydraulic product line.
 
Jash Engineering has been manufacturing gates since 1947 and has now established themselves as the largest gate manufacturer in the world and the only major cast iron gate supplier with its’ own foundry.  Jash USA, an ISO-9001:2008 company manufacturing wide range of equipment for Water Intake Systems, Water and Waste Water Pumping Stations and Treatment Plants, Storm Water Pumping Stations, Water Transmission Lines, Power, Steel, Cement, Paper & Pulp, Petrochemicals, Chemical, Fertilizers and other process plants.
 
Rodney Hunt will continue its’ 175-year old tradition of manufacturing high quality gates, designed and engineered in the US from Orange, MA with a continued high quality team that has serviced the US water industry for decades.
