PLC Weighing Modules

Hardy’s single-slot Rockwell® PLC/PAC modules read and condition data from strain gage load cells and communicate it over the I/O chassis backplane to the processor. They provide basic weight data or are loaded with sophisticated algorithms to perform application-specific industrial weighing processes from simple batch weighing to loss-in-weight control, filling or dispensing.

Modules are available for Allen-Bradley® ControlLogix®, CompactLogix®,  Micro800® or SLC500 chassis. 

WEIGHT CONTROLLERS

Hardy general-purpose or application-specific weight controllers are used in a wide variety of applications such as Batching/Blending, Filling/Dispensing, Check Weighing, Level by Weight, Force measurement, and Rate Monitoring to name a few. They have built-in outputs which allow them to operate as stand-alone controllers or provide weight and flow rate data to the processor. The HI 1756-nDFs contain field proven algorithms and use Add-On-Profiles (AOP) for ease of integration.

RATE CONTROLLERS

Plug-in Loss-in-weight Feeder Control (FC) modules contain field proven algorithms which automatically calculate and adjust tuning parameters required to maintain desired loss-in-weight flow rates. These microprocessor-based plug-in modules use the PLC/PAC’s rack’s I/O to control a variety of material-flow applications, with auger, belt, or vibratory feeders. They operate in batch or continuous applications in either an automatic or manual mode.

WEIGHT MODULES

The Hardy line of general-purpose PLC weight modules are used in a wide variety of applications such as Batching/Blending, Filling/Dispensing, Check Weighing, Level by Weight, Force measurement, Rate Control and Rate Monitoring to name a few. Some are available in single (-WS) or dual (-2WS) configurations. Others are available for specialized applications such as Feeder Control (FC models) or Dispenser/Filler (nDF models). They transfer clean; accurate weight data directly to the PLC/PAC which uses its rack I/O for application control. The ControlLogix, CompactLogix and POINT I/O modules include Add-On-Profiles and HMI Faceplates/AOIs for ease of integration.
