Franklin Miller Grinder Recognized for Best in Wastewater Projects

Franklin Miller inc was named a Water & Wastes Digest Top Projects winner of 2015

Franklin Miller inc was named a Water & Wastes Digest Top Projects winner of 2015. Franklin Miller was recognized as the best of the best in manufacturing for Iowas City’s South Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion. Three TASKMASTER™ 8500 Inline grinders, featuring a powerful twin-shaft mechanism and cutter cartridge technology were installed to reduce solids in pipeline systems.  With a population of 72,000, this $50.2 million expansion was the City’s largest public works project in history. This expansion improved the plants’s safety, energy efficiency, and enabled economic growth and development for the future of Iowa City.

Taskmaster TM8500 grinders protect plant processes and equipment by finely reducing tough waterborne sewage solids such as diapers, tampons, plastics, woods, brooms, food waste and more. TASKMASTER® TM8500 grinders sets the standard reliability and durability while delivering class leading performance. These grinders employ cutter cartridge technology which reduces maintenance and increase unit strength. It achieves this by taking six individual cutters and spacers and combining them into one rugged cartridge. Taskmaster TM8500 sewage grinders can be utilized for many applications including wastewater treatment plant headwords, sludge lines, pump stations,  prison sewer systems and more.

Congratulations to Franklin Miller!
